This cake was for a bridal shower, made to match the wedding invitation. I have to admit I was coming up at a loss when I found out the colors were maroon and gold. But I like the way it turned out. The cake is covered I’m maroon fondant, and then decorated in royal icing, which I painted with gold luster dust. The cake was lemon with strawberry buttercream and chocolate
with vanilla buttercream.
