This cake was made for New Beginnings, which is an LDS Young Women’s activity that welcomes girls who are turning 12 into the YW program. YW has 12 Values, each of which are a different color, and is very similar to rainbow colors. The theme for our New Beginnings focused on the YW Values so I made a cake that corresponded with the colors. The cake was simple vanilla with vanilla filling. The cake is covered in fondant and decorated with fondant stripes and fondant flowers that I made by cutting circles and tapering the edges.
