This cake was designed to match the custom invites for an 8 year old's dance party. I didn't even know kids knew what ghetto blisters were anymore?!
This ombré chevron cake was for a mom' birthday. The ranunculus is made of fondant/gumpaste mixture. Lots of petals. Lots.
For a little girl who turned two and loves the moon, Foofa and surfing with her dad. Uh, that's the moon, not a banana. The moon is made of rice Krispy treats. Foofa is hand made from fondant/gumpaste. Cake was vanilla and vanilla.
For an adult's birthday luncheon (not to be confused with an adult birthday- this is a family joint), this pink quilted purse cake was made from stacking halved sheet cakes and carving the edges to look more like a purse. For Brynn who turned 5 and loves Hello Kitty. The only guidelines I got were bright and Hello Kitty. I always think bunting is so cute, and little streamers are always festive. The cake was vanilla.
A 50th birthday cake for my friend's mom. She sent me a cake inspired by Pink Cake Box- a hot pink number with zebra stripes. Cake was vanilla with raspberry buttercream.

This was a fun take on the usual horizontal ruffles- cascading ombre ruffles down the side of the cake. The strips of fondant are folded in half and then gathered as they're draped down the side. Cake was strawberry with cream cheese filling.

When I called the person who it was for to tell them it ready, she said, "What cake is this?" umm... Apparently, it was for March, not Feb. So … Continue reading Pink Ombré Ruffle cake
This cake was for Abbey, the mom of my daughter's pre-school friend. Apparently, Abbey loves Britney Spears and was having a karaoke party. The gorgeous birthday girl loves pink and green. The cake was chocolate with salted caramel buttercream, after her favorite Starbucks drink!
